Do you already use Cegid Loop for your accounting? Good news: you don’t need to change your working practices or replace your software to benefit from Azopio’s features.

Thanks to its integration with Cegid Loop, Azopio complements your working environment by automating some of the pre-accounting processes: collecting and processing documents, preparing pre-accounting data, and then transferring accounting documents and entries to Cegid Loop.

The aim? To minimise manual processing and data re-entry whilst continuing to use Cegid Loop as the accounting system.

Cegid Loop and Azopio: who does what?

Before discussing integration, it is important to fully understand the role of both solutions.

Cegid Loop is accounting software used in particular by accountancy firms.

Azopio, for its part, is a pre-accounting solution that operates prior to this process. In particular, it enables the centralisation of documents and invoices, the automation of their processing, the preparation of accounting data, and the facilitation of communication between the company and its accountant.

Azopio is, in fact, listed by Cegid as one of the Cegid Loop partners in the Pre-accounting category.

The two solutions are therefore not intended to fulfil exactly the same role: they can work in a complementary manner.

And that is precisely where integration comes into its own.

How does the integration between Azopio and Cegid Loop work?

Without any integration between the various software programmes, the transition from pre-accounting to the production of accounts may require intermediate steps: generating files, downloads, imports, re-entering data, etc.

Azopio offers a plugin that connects directly to Cegid Loop, enabling the automated transfer of documents and accounting entries from Azopio to Cegid Loop.

In practical terms, the principle can be summarised as follows:

  1. Documents are centralised in Azopio
  2. Azopio processes documents and prepares pre-accounting data
  3. Accounting documents and entries are sent to Cegid Loop
  4. The firm is continuing to work on its accounting software

In other words, Azopio automates some of the work carried out before the data is imported into Cegid Loop.

To this end, Cegid Loop provides APIs that enable partner solutions to integrate accounting transactions into Loop files. Its documentation covers, in particular, the import of accounting entries and the management of attachments associated with those entries.

A practical example: from the invoice to Cegid Loop

Let’s take a simple example.

A company sends its invoices and other accounting documents to its accountancy firm. Without the right tools, these documents may arrive via different channels and require several steps before they can be processed for accounting purposes.

With Azopio, documents can be centralised and processed within a single environment. The information required for pre-accounting is prepared in Azopio before being transferred to the accounting software.

If the firm uses Cegid Loop, the integration then allows the documents and accounting entries in Azopio to be automatically uploaded to it.

The firm can therefore retrieve the necessary elements from its production environment, without having to start from scratch.

Why connect Azopio to Cegid Loop?

Fewer accounting re-entries

Information that has already been processed in Azopio should not be entered again simply because the practice uses different software for its accounting.

Integration creates continuity between the two environments, thereby reducing the need for duplicate data entry and repetitive tasks.

Fewer manual exports and imports

Exporting a file from one piece of software, saving it, and then importing it into another involves a series of steps that can quickly become time-consuming when repeated folder by folder.

The direct connection enablesthe automated submission of documents and accounting entries from Azopio to Cegid Loop.

Coins and written records that circulate together

Accounting is not based solely on data: it also requires the relevant supporting documents.

That is why the Azopio–Cegid Loop integration covers not only accounting entries but also the documents in Azopio.

Linking data to supporting documents in this way helps to ensure continuity of processing when the file reaches the firm’s accounting system.

More time for value-added tasks

Collecting documents, re-entering information or moving files between different tools takes up time without really adding value to the employee’s work.

By further automating these processes, the firm can devote more time to auditing, data analysis and supporting its clients.

Azopio automates far more than just sending data to Cegid Loop

Azopio’s appeal is, of course, not limited to its integration with Cegid Loop.

The platform supports various stages of administrative management and pre-accounting: collecting and centralising documents, processing invoices, preparing accounting data, bank reconciliation, managing and paying invoices, and collaborating with the accountancy firm.

Integration with Cegid Loop therefore makes it possible to extend this process right through to the accounting software already used by the firm.

That is precisely the benefit of interoperability: being able to make the most of Azopio’s features without disrupting the existing software ecosystem.

What if you use software other than Cegid Loop?

Azopio has been designed to integrate into a variety of software environments.

In particular, the platform offers integrations with accounting software, ERP systems, invoicing solutions, banks, till software, cash flow management tools and cloud storage solutions.

For accounting purposes, Azopio also offers, for example, direct connections to ACD iSuite Expert and MyUnisoft. Other accounting software can be populated using suitable export files.

This enables a company or practice to continue using the tools it already has, whilst further automating the flow of documents and data.

Are you already using Cegid Loop? Add Azopio to your environment

Integration with Cegid Loop means that Azopio can be used to complement your accounting software, rather than replacing it.

You continue to use Cegid Loop for your accounting, whilst Azopio helps you to automate and simplify the processes carried out beforehand, right up to the sending of documents and accounting entries.

Fewer data re-entries, less back-and-forth between tools and a smoother flow of information: the main aim is to save the firm time and simplify the management of client files.
